The Human Mind Academy provides education and reflection about human behaviour. This draft explains the information involved when you browse, contact us, subscribe to letters, create an account or use learning resources.
Information involved
Depending on what you choose to use, the website may process your name, email address, account details, messages, newsletter choices, bookings, course enrolment and progress, and order information. Technical information may include IP address, browser and device information, security logs, pages visited and cookie choices. Payment provider and billing disclosures will be completed when payments are configured.
You do not need to share a personal life story to explore THMA. Please avoid submitting medical records or other sensitive personal information through general contact forms.
Purposes and legal bases
Account access, course delivery and requested services involve processing needed to provide the service or take steps at your request before a contract. Responding to enquiries and protecting the website may rely on legitimate interests in communication and security, subject to your rights. Legal obligations may require certain records to be kept. Newsletter marketing and optional tracking require consent where applicable. Giving cookie consent does not subscribe you to our newsletter.
Service providers and disclosures
This site uses Wix for hosting and website services, including forms and member, booking, programme and commerce functions. Usercentrics for Wix manages cookie choices and consent records. Providers process information needed for their functions under their applicable arrangements. The final notice will identify any additional providers actually used and explain relevant international transfers and safeguards. We do not claim a transfer safeguard that has not been checked.
Cookies and your choices
Strictly necessary technologies support security and functions you request. Optional technologies require a choice through the consent banner. You can accept, deny or manage the available categories and reopen preferences using the privacy settings icon displayed on the website. Withdrawing consent affects future processing and does not undo lawful processing that occurred before withdrawal.
The consent panel provides information about detected services and technologies. Cookie scanning and classification must be reviewed when apps, embeds or tracking scripts change. Browser settings also allow you to manage cookies, although disabling essential cookies may affect requested functions.
How long information is kept
Retention must be limited to the purpose, applicable legal obligations and the handling of disputes. Newsletter details are needed while you remain subscribed, with a limited record of your opt out where necessary to honour it. Account and service records require a defined retention schedule. Exact periods and deletion procedures are pending confirmation by the operating company.
Your rights
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions. Use our Contact page while the dedicated privacy contact is being finalised. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.
You may complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP, at dataprotection.ro, or to the competent supervisory authority where you live, work or consider an infringement occurred.
Young visitors and changes
Age requirements, parental authorisation and the handling of children’s accounts will be confirmed before those services launch. We will update this notice when the operating company, services or processing arrangements change.
